E-Invoicing

01/09/2024

An E-Invoice is a document that contains data about a transaction between a business and a client. It includes details like the date, amount, description of goods/services provided, and other relevant information.

Under the electronic invoicing system, an identification number will be issued against every invoice by the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP), managed by the GST Network (GSTN).

There are several legal aspects related to e-invoicing. First, the customer needs to have access to the internet. Second, the business owner needs to ensure that their company complies with the applicable laws regarding e-invoicing (such as data protection legislation). Third, the business owner needs a system that allows them to send electronic invoices to customers.

Fourth, they need to make sure that the system works properly and does not cause any problems for the customer. Finally, the business owner needs training and advice on how to use this system effectively.
