Khaitan & Co advises Aditya Birla Fashion on majority stake acquisition in Tarun Tahiliani

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) has increased its stake in Goodview Fashion Private Limited, the manufacturer of the ethnic couture brand ‘Tarun Tahiliani’, from 33.5% to 51% through a secondary purchase from existing shareholders, thereby acquiring a majority stake.
Khaitan & Co advised ABFRL on this deal.
The transaction team included Partner Shourya Sengupta, Principal Associate Sneh Lata, and Senior Associate Arka Banerjee Choudhury.
As a result of this transaction, Goodview Fashion Private Limited became a subsidiary of ABFRL effective July 11, 2024.
