Tapan Chauhan Joins Amazon as Director – Legal & Associate General Counsel

Tapan Chauhan has joined Amazon in the role of Director – Legal & Associate General Counsel.

Chauhan brings close to two decades of experience spanning litigation and corporate counsel functions, with a focus on advising multinational corporations across the FMCG sector. His areas of practice include litigation and dispute resolution, domestic and international arbitration, corporate governance, compliance program design, and regulatory risk management, with particular exposure to food, labour, and excise (including alco-bev) legal frameworks, as well as anti-bribery and competition law. He holds a degree from Himachal Pradesh University. Prior to this appointment, he served at Pernod Ricard India for over eight years, with earlier roles at Nestlé and Mondelēz International.
