Debasish Roychowdhury joins Skechers South Asia as Senior General Manager and Head of Legal, Company Secretary and Compliance

Debasish Roychowdhury has joined Skechers South Asia Pvt Ltd as Senior General Manager and Head of Legal, Company Secretary and Compliance.

Roychowdhury brings 23 years of experience in General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary roles across sectors including Manufacturing, FMCG, Beverages, Consulting, IT/ITES, BFSI, Fintech, Retail and Lifestyle. His areas of practice span Corporate Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Enterprise Risk and Ethics, Data Protection and Privacy, ESG, Cyber and Technology Law, AI Governance, Fintech and Payments Regulation, IPR Strategy and Employment Law. He has managed transactions and advisory work covering M&A, corporate restructuring, private equity, FDI/FEMA structuring, RBI compounding, IPO readiness, SEBI/LODR compliance, capital markets and large-scale fundraising.

Immediately prior to this appointment, Roychowdhury served as General Counsel at In-Solutions Global Ltd for approximately three and a half years.

Roychowdhury holds an LLB from Sarsuna Law College (2017) and an LLM in Corporate and Financial Law from Jindal Global Law School, and is a member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
