Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas acts for IFC on $500 million ECB facility to SIDBI

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co acted as legal counsel to International Finance Corporation (“IFC”) in connection with a US dollar-denominated, senior, unsecured external commercial borrowing loan facility extended to Small Industries Development Bank of India (“SIDBI”) (the “Transaction”). The Transaction involved a facility of up to $500 million, with a tenor of up to seven years.

The proceeds of the facility are to be deployed by SIDBI for direct lending to micro, small, and medium enterprises (“MSMEs”) and for MSME refinance facilities extended to financial institutions.

The Transaction team consisted of Shubhangi Garg (Partner), Yashika Jain (Principal Associate), Soham Chakraborty (Associate), and Aryan Gupta (Associate).
