Arpita Mukherjee joins Hammurabi & Solomon as Senior Partner

Arpita Mukherjee has joined Hammurabi & Solomon Partners as a Senior Partner, where she will form part of the firm’s Corporate & Commercial practice.
Mukherjee joins from Anand and Anand, where she served as a Consultant for three years. Her practice spans corporate and commercial advisory, strategic transactions, business reorganisations, commercial negotiations, regulatory and compliance matters, and governance and risk management. She brings particular depth in technology and telecommunications, e-commerce, data protection, intellectual property, employment, and consumer-facing businesses, and has advised on acquisition due diligence, IPO and DRHP readiness, restructuring, compliance architecture, and the implementation of legal frameworks within operating businesses. Her experience also extends to pre-litigation strategy, risk mitigation, negotiation and settlement, and proceedings before courts, tribunals, arbitral bodies, and consumer forums.
Earlier in her career, spanning over 35 years, Mukherjee held senior legal and General Counsel roles at a range of Indian and multinational organisations, including ICICI, IL&FS, Genpact, Nokia Siemens Networks, Aricent Technologies, Levi Strauss & Co., METRO Cash & Carry, Tata Teleservices, and Fabindia.
Mukherjee is an alumna of Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
