Kaaba Khan joins Emerge Legal as head of media, entertainment and IP practice

Kaaba Khan has joined Emerge Legal in a leadership role to head the firm’s media and entertainment, intellectual property and commercial practice, based in the Mumbai office.

Khan joins from GK Legal, where she held the position of Partner advising clients across media and entertainment, intellectual property, commercial and business law, and real estate and land matters. At Emerge Legal, her remit will cover content production and acquisition, rights licensing and distribution, talent and endorsement arrangements, and related commercial contracting. Her practice will also extend to trademark and copyright protection and enforcement, cross-border transactions involving Indian rights holders and Indian content, and matters in commercial and business law.

Earlier in her career, Khan was at Trilegal, where she worked on capital markets transactions including initial public offerings and debt issuances.

Khan holds a degree from New Law College, Bharati Vidyapeeth University.
