Rahul Dhote joins White & Brief as Head of IP, Technology and M&E

Rahul Dhote has joined White & Brief as Head of Intellectual Property, Technology and Media & Entertainment, accompanied by two partners, Varunraj Vinayak Limaye and Dr. Venkatesh Seshan, who will focus on the firm’s patent practice.

Dhote was most recently Equity Partner and Head of the Intellectual Property practice at ANM Global, where he advised multinational corporations, Indian conglomerates, emerging businesses and high-net-worth individuals on contentious and transactional matters. He earlier co-founded a multi-service firm, Literati Juris.

Limaye is a registered Indian Patent Agent and Advocate with over 16 years of experience in Indian and US patent law, having appeared before the Indian Patent Office and various High Courts. His practice covers technically intensive sectors including pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, organic chemistry, battery technology, medical devices, nanotechnology, nutraceuticals, polymers, food technology, personal care and cosmetics, metallurgy, catalysis and petrochemicals. He holds an MSc and an LLB and is a DSCI Certified Privacy Lead Assessor.

Dr. Seshan is a Registered Patent Agent with over 11 years of experience across the Indian and European patent ecosystems. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the Netherlands and a master’s degree in Nanoscale Science from Sweden and Germany, and his practice covers electronics, semiconductors, software, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, battery technologies, medical devices, nanotechnology, cybersecurity, autonomous vehicles and other emerging fields. He previously worked with a European intellectual property firm.
