India’s premier law university, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, and Gen AI legal tech startup, Webnyay.ai, have collaborated to establish the NALSAR University of Law Centre for Economic, Legal, and Policy Services. This pioneering initiative will focus on providing legal services powered by Generative AI to Courts and Tribunals, Government Departments, and practising arbitrators across India.
This collaboration aims to enhance efficiency and access to justice by providing cutting-edge GenAI tools for legal research and analysis. The Centre will also offer training programs and workshops to empower various stakeholders on effectively utilising AI applications in their day-to-day tasks related to law, economics, and policy.
Beyond GenAI services and trainings, the Centre will provide mediation services across India and partner with Courts and Tribunals to resolve disputes through pre-litigation mediation. NALSAR University will also disseminate knowledge through newsletters, journals, and digital platforms to foster dialogue on key legal and policy challenges associated with Responsible AI.
