UFlex Limited, India’s largest multinational flexible packaging and solutions company, has announced the appointment of Sameet Gambhir as the Sr. Vice President & Global Head – Legal. Sameet brings with him a wealth of experience, boasting a distinguished career spanning 34 years in the realms of legal, compliance, risk management, intellectual property rights (IPRs), litigation, contracting, corporate restructuring, labor laws, environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and corporate secretarial functions.

Prior to joining UFlex, Sameet held the position of Vice President – Corporate Law at DCM Shriram Ltd. His extensive career also includes notable roles at KPMG India, Hill & Associates, Schneider Electric India, and Mayar India Ltd, where he led legal, compliance, and corporate secretarial operations.

Sameet’s exceptional expertise has earned him numerous accolades, including consistent recognition in the Forbes list of Top In-House Counsels for three years, inclusion in the GCs Hall of Fame by Lawwiser, and recognition by Legal500 in its India GCs Powerlist for two consecutive years. He has also been honored as Compliance Lawyer of the Year and among India’s Distinguished Legal Minds by LegalEra, as well as being named among the Top 100 GCs of India by BW Legal.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Sameet is actively involved in several prestigious committees and councils. He serves as the Co-Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Committee of PHDCCI and holds memberships in various sub-committees constituted by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry for formulating Indian Standards on ESG and easing business operations. Furthermore, he contributes to the National Committee on Legal Affairs of CII and the National Council for Corporate Affairs, Company Law, and Corporate Governance of ASSOCHAM. He also serves on the Board of Study of GD Goenka Law School and is a member of the ESG Committee of the Delhi Management Association (DMA). Sameet frequently shares his expertise as a visiting faculty member and guest lecturer at several prominent institutions including IMT-Ghaziabad, IMI-New Delhi, LBSIM-New Delhi, and NDIM-New Delhi.
