Standard & Poor’s Dow Jones Indices (SPDJI) has sold its stake in Asia Index Private Limited to BSE Limited for approximately $3.6 million.

Asia Index, established in 2013 as a 50:50 joint venture between SPDJ Singapore Pte. Ltd. (a subsidiary of S&P Dow Jones Indices) and BSE, calculates, disseminates, and licenses a range of S&P BSE indices (including Sensex) for benchmarking and as the basis for financial instruments such as ETFs and index funds for both domestic and international clients.
