JSA advises on Bangalore’s large real estate deal – Edelweiss Fund acquires Bangalore’s Mfar Manyata Project

Rental Yield Plus Fund, managed by Edelweiss Alternatives Asset Advisors Limited, has acquired a stake in MMTP Projects Private Limited (MMTP) for over ₹1,500 crores.

JSA advised Edelweiss Alternatives Asset Advisors.

The transaction team consisted of Vivek K Chandy (Joint Managing Partner), Ajay G Prasad (Partner) and Soham Roy (Senior Associate).

The real estate team consisted of Vivek K Chandy (Joint Managing Partner), Karthik BM (Partner), Lakshmi Baradwaj (Principal Associate) and Spoorthi Krishna (Associate).

The Power and Regulatory team consisted of Megha Arora (Partner) and Abhishek Rohatgi (Associate).

The Banking and Finance team consisted of Anjana Potti (Partner) and Shivpriya Gurtoo (Senior Associate).

In addition to the above members, Preetha S (Partner), Aishwarya Manjooran (Associate), Ajith Kidambi (Associate), Thomas G Kolath (Associate) and Megha Kumari (Associate) helped on due diligence.

Edelweiss Alternatives is one of the largest alternatives platforms in India. MMTP, earlier owned by the MFAR group, owns and operates 1.1 million square feet of gross leasable area within the larger Manyata Tech Park – a prominent technology park in Bengaluru housing multiple office spaces for companies from various sectors.

The acquisition of MMTP is in line with Edelweiss’ larger strategy of aggregating high-quality Grade A/A+ office assets into a larger portfolio of commercial office assets across pivotal office micro-markets in key cities.
