1) To grow or accumulate over time, such as interest on a debt or investment that continues to add up.
2) The point at which the right to bring a lawsuit arises. For instance, the right to sue based on a contract accrues when the contract is actually breached, not merely when a breach is suspected, or when the other party indicates they will not fulfill the contract (anticipatory breach).
